Multiplayer: First, players should expect to see better performance, with a higher number of maximum players to a game (24 for PS2, 32 for Xbox, and 64 for PC). In addition, multiplayer maps will have the game modes I talked about earlier, plus some others. Also, the team really heard the feedback from the original that it was hard for players to find their friends, and they have responded!
 
Graphics Improvement: You’ll see better shadows, lighting, and reflections, higher-resolution textures, and an improved bump-mapping system, as well as better performance overall. The engineering team at Pandemic has been polishing the graphics engine for nearly an entire year now, and players will see the difference with the vividness and richness of the worlds.
 
Weapons: Some Classes will stay with the same weapons and some may not. the dark trooper now has a new weapon instaed of that crappy close range gun im having leads thats the new gun is like the covenent shotgun from halo 2 althouggh its close to being confirmed.
 
501st Legion: The campaign revolves around the evolution of the 501st Legion, starting from a division of clone soldiers and becoming, through the course of many battles, Vader’s personal elite team of stormtroopers. The legion’s rise to success is 100 percent dependent on the player’s achievements in each mission.
 
Planets: For the first time ever, we’re able to span planets from all 6 Star Wars films. You’ll see some classic icons from the movies -- great set pieces that are now part of the American psyche, like the Tantive IV from the opening scene of A New Hope (OK, it’s not a planet, but you get the idea). But you’ll also see a great assortment of Episode III planets, like Utapau and Mustafar. The team chose each planet and location based on potential for great gameplay, such as battle settings in the movies that players would have fun reliving or just as cool spots that lent themselves to more great ideas. No More Deaths: Now you can change your soldier class without dying. This will be major help.Especially those who play SWBF Online know what im talking about....
 
Playable Jedi: You can now play as a jedi (the known are Luke Skywalker, Macewindu,Vader,Obiwan,Grevious, Darth Maul,Yoda,Sithious,Palpatine,) after you complete a specific objectives that they assaign to you.The Jedi in Star Wars Battlefront II the way you think of Jedi in a Star Wars battle: one goes a long way. As players progress through each mission, they’ll unlock the chance to play as a Jedi, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi or Darth Vader, for one glorious turn. How the player uses their Jedi affects how much time they get to use it -- hack and slash at your allies, for example, and you’ll lose your privileges quick. Unleash fury on your enemies, however, and you’ll get to live out your Jedi fantasies a bit longer. Jedi can use both lightsabers and Force powers, as well as their tremendous power and heath. So think of them as your secret weapon in battles, and learn how to use them well.

New Class: The new class is called Commander. He carries a heavy damage weapon and can do stuff that other clases cant do.
 
Space Battles: Now instead of ground missions you can also do space battles, usually is to destroy a ship. It gives you the option if you want to destroy it from the outside or from the inside.The spaceships controls have been tweaked a bit.Also, they’re big -- big enough to provide that freedom that makes flying so much fun. Second, we’ve done something unique: Not only can you engage in space combat, but you can board your enemy’s capital ship and wreak havoc on the inside. It’s an all-out war in space, and whether you’re fighting from the outside or from within your enemy ship, there’s plenty of action.
 
Player Skins: Now your soldier will have a different suit depending on the environment that you are on. This will add a cool effect and a unique experiance in the different maps that this game will provide.
 
Sprint Button: Now you can sprint so you can get to places faster.
 
Multiple Objectives: Now you have to do more than just kill and capture command posts. You have the power to do different objectives each time. Objective-based gameplay is going to make a dramatic difference in the single-player campaign. In addition, each map will have a variety of additional game modes for Instant Action and multiplayer, like Hunt, Catpure the Flag, and Tug-of-War. Designers are carefully choosing the game modes that are the best suited to each of the maps.
 
Playable Sides: We’re working with the same four factions (Republic, Separatists, Rebellion and Empire), but each faction will have an additional leader class, each of which adds a distinct advantage in battles. Also, pilots will now only be available in space, while ground battles will feature technicians for building and repairing. The team’s goal has been to take advantage of class specialization and really play up each class’s unique abilities by designing missions that play to the various strengths of each class.

Space Itself-
In the space battle there is an auto right, to the "top" of the map. You can fly pretty far, but the MAPS ARE HUGE!!!!!! So don’t worry about flying away. You will notice fast that the maps have blaster fire and cap ship fire all over the place and really just makes it seem real.

Tactics-
LA expects a certain amount of teamwork from players in space. If one REALLY good pilot takes on three medium class pilots, he will loose, and that’s the way LA wants it. Also, if a fighter and a transport duke it out, the fighter will win, without much problem, as the transports are SLOW. They expect the following tasks. The fighters go in FAST and clear as many of the enemy fighters as possible, while this is going on, the bombers go in and destroy the turrets protecting the bays. Once down, the bombers fly circles around these turrets to stop them from coming back. Now the fully loaded transports come, loaded with troops, land, and begin stopping targets. Now, the thing is, how do you distribute your forces, do you put all of them to attack the enemy, or protect your ships. All can decide how fast, or if you can beat the enemy.

Space Engineers-
Whatever you want to call them, they act as the repair force for the CAP ships or fighters and other craft if the repair droids are destroyed. To repair the guns on the Cap ship you have to fix the computer console, there is no space walking.

I found some information on the game modes that would be in the game like Capture the Flag, Hunt, and Tug-of-War. Also, some other information. I found it on a article on gamecloud.com I'm not sure of the exact link. I have the link in my battlefront 2 discussion thread I have to look it up there.

That's odd why is there a blank space there. Now I see the link is the same color as the background. Anyways what that site said about the game modes was basicly the same thing I said in my post. But it does say other things like that the Piolet would only be available in space and Technicians would replace them on the ground battles. Also that it is at the “feature and content complete” stage meaning the entire game has been built. Now they are polishing, bug fixing, tuning, and balancing the game. And some other things that might be interesting. Too much for me to write right now.
