1.   Introduction

This guide was compiled to help those who are wondering how Multiplayer will work in Call of Duty: World at War developed by Treyarch Studios.

As most of you know, Call of Duty: World at War is dealt during WW2 in the Pacific region. With that said, Treyarch Studios decided to use the game engine used in COD4 and the multiplayer for the most part is the same, but some difference really changes how you view the two.

Online MP for COD:WAW has a rank system similar to COD4, but somethings have been tweaked. It now seems that it takes longer to upgrade your rank from one to another. Initially you are Ranked 1 and it takes a little bit longer to rank to 2 compared to COD4 ranking system. However, you rank changes when you gain more experience points from getting kills and winning matches, like in COD4.

MP Challenges are back and extremely similar to COD4 challenges. You'll see a lot of the same challenges in COD:WAW. The Challenges consist of getting a certain number of kills, headshots, grenade kills, or unusual deaths and so on. Completing Challenges rewards XP and may unlock weapon attachments or camo.

Castle - A Level in a Japanese Terroritory. 2 main areas on this map are the Inside and Outside, much consists of the Outside. Outside there's trees, walls, water, and corners to hind behind. Great for Sniping because of the Indoor Towers. There 2 main towers on the same side of the map. There is also a Stone Tower where you can sit by a Stone Window and snipe entirely across the map.

Makin - A Level set in the Jungles of Pacific Japanese Terroritories. It's dark and much of the Jungle has been swept away and is just left with Docks and a swampty river. Great from Close Combat.

Downfall - A Level set in a City destroyed from intense warfare. Trees are burning, Buildings are grounded, and underground tunnels are everywhere.

Cliffside - A Level inside a Japanese Terroritory Jungle. There are several bushes and trees everywhere. There are many hills and bunkers spread across the map for easy cover and sniping.

6.   Map Pack #1 Information
The first map pack introduced had a little something for Zombie lovers. It includes a new Nazi Zombie Co-op level (Verrückt) that’s got tons of new enhancements: Perks-a-Cola soda machines, electroshock defense systems and even more vicious zombies - all set in a creepy insane asylum which is based off of the multiplayer map, MP Asylum. Which on these zmbie maps, there are new perks beause of the Cola machines. The map pack released on PSN March 19, 2009, and it costs $9.99. Click here for a video of the trailer of the zombie level maps.
Hold on, it doesn't end there. Also, it incldes 3 new multiplayer maps for you to play in: Nightfire, Knee Deep and Station. “Nightfire” is in a dark urban war-torn Berlin. Call of Duty World at War MapPack 1-3

Well based off my Beta of the 360, it doesn't have them as of yet. Treyarch is continuing to add more content to the Beta, so who knows. you could be right.

Hey thanks for compliment.
