2 of my buddies in my clan coudln't even log onto COD4 and it kept freezing when they would be "Downloading Game Settings". After all of us joined a chat, we decided to just wait a while, and after about 3 hours they were finally able to get in.
That aside, there was also plenty of in game problems people were having. I heard multiple people (in clan and out of clan) say that server time outs were happening twice as much as before the patch. Which I also experienced.
Get your s**t straight IW.
We need a patch for better bullet registration and damage.
Didn't the other box already get that patch?
Your company lags more than my grandma after her hip surgery.

Well looks like someone didn't take the time to read anything. Taken from the last post on page two from fourzerotwo. "Actually, this PS3 connectivity patch will be the first console patch out. The Xbox 360 hasn't received any patches" -and- "Also, the connectivity patch and multiplayer enhancements have always been two seperate patches as indicated when we first announced them coming out. The 360 won't be getting the multiplayer upgrade patches until after December either, so let's keep this in perspective guys." By the way, bullet reg. (specifically sniper and acog) are coming in the multiplayer enhancements patch. As far as the rest of your problems, on multiple occasions I have killed someone within .2 seconds of getting killed so it was probably just a lag issue. As far as more problems occuring, I'm sorry that's happening to you but I've seen less than usual and I join games almost instantly so the connectivity patch has been nothing but great for me.

You people bytch and moan too much. How come you can sit down, shut up and enjoy the dam game? These people bust their asses to bring us games like this and all you complain about is how you can't do this and that. Christ! Give it a rest! We all know the game isn't perfect and that's why their working to make it better. Doesn't help that you ungrateful little **bleep** keep harrassing the developers for new content.

Experience since the patch: Well I will admit, I found matchs MUCH faster than usual. But I played for about an hour, and at least once during each game (4) I had my connection interrupted. I was booted from one game. And for the first time ever, I was signed out of the PSN during COD4. Hopefully it will respond a little better tonight. Also, since update 2.10 ( I know it is a different subject) when I use my browser, if I try to view all my open windows, or close one of the open windows, the PS3 will completely freeze up on me. Happened 3 times this morning (after my COD experience). I got very frustrated and just "went to bread".
All of my friends own a cardboard Box and make fun that I have a black box of love, my PS3. I cannot play w/them, so add me, and we can have the last laugh PSN: Dozer3677

For the past couple weeks the game occassionally has entered me in the game later than the other players. Sometimes when I play S&D I won't get to play the 1st round because of how late I'm allowed to join. Also on occasion I'll be kicked from the PSN and this message appears: "An error has occurred. You have been signed out of Playstation Network. (80710B23)" I was hoping these issues would be fixed with this patch but they haven't. Fourzerotwo, please look into it. Thanks.

I was looking forward to this patch a lot as i used to get the downloading game settings... problem once in a while howeever since i have downloaded the patch i haven't been able to play at all. All i see is downloading game settings. I read the other thread which suggested uninstalling and redownloading the patch and I still see nothing except downloading game settings... I am VERY sad. I have had this game on rent and have thougth about buying it but i'm not sure if it's worth it. I know you guys are trying but i don't know what to say. Hopefully i get some response. Now i have one suggestion also I hope that in the multiplayer patch( the later patch 2.10 ) that you guys can add some new levels and maybe the ability to shooot all guns fully auto( at least guns that should be able to) Please help with this ridiculous game settings problem why do i still have this message on my screen when this patch supposedly fixed it?? Thanx for any response

fourzerotwo wrote: Hey Everyone -- I wanted to give you a heads up on the PS3 Connectivity patch for the PS3 version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This is the patch that will improve matchmaking, connectivity, and optimized performance for you guys when playing online. The PS3 Connectivity patch will be hitting in the very near future. The PS3 (exclusive) Connectivity patch will include: US Data Center For NAT Server Will make all US players connect to US data center and EU users connect to EU data center. This will optimize performance for all users in those areas. Fixed 'Downloading Game Settings' ErrorFixed error with conflicting packet interaction. Port 3095 Issue Corrected
Players were required to have port 3095 open in order to host. Now players who have port 3095 blocked can still host matches. Matchmaking OptimizationServer search will end upon acquiring a certain number of good servers. Added "prefer" servers with best ping, this will optimize and expedite players finding and joining good matches. This is the first patch, addressing connectivity issues, there will be a future patch that includes several more multiplayer enhancements but won't be here until well into the new year. Let me know if there are any questions. Thanks guys. Message Edited by fourzerotwo on 12-18-2007 12:07 PMMessage Edited by fourzerotwo on 12-18-2007 12:16 PM
