Hi, Folks-

As I am sure you are all aware by now, Confrontation has been delayed. Now that we have made the official announcement on SOCOM.com, I can talk about it.

I know some of you are very upset and angry over this. I can only apologize on behalf of everyone here and tell you that no one on the team is happy that it had to be delayed. It's just that these things are unavoidable sometimes. No matter how well you plan, things come up or need to be changed. It's one of those things where it's just not ready until it's ready. But I can assure you no one is slacking and everyone is working hard to get the game done, make it the best it can be and get it out the door to you. That's always the goal.

I know there is nothing I can say to make this better and some of you are going to be upset and angry no matter what. I understand. I just ask that you try to keep the flaming and bashing to a minimum and don't be too hard on the team and the mods here. It's an upsetting time for all of us.

And finally, after this announcement, you now know the Beta has not started yet. That's what we are working towards. Hopefully, it will be soon. But again, it will be done when it is done and the team is working as hard as they can to get it there.

Once again, I apologize for the delay. Just please know that it was not something that was decided lightly and we feel bad about it, too. :smileysad:

I think everyone familair with SOCOM is familiar with delays.

While I'm not happy about it, I understand the reasons and hope the expanded schedule results in a great game.

Abigale,

You need not apologize for anything. If they need time to get it right, I want them to take that time. It is all good sister... chin up.. no frowny faces... :smileyhappy:

If it's being delayed it's being delayed for good reasons right? Well maybe not always, but for this case I hope so, although I don't know if the extra 28 days will be enough, hopefully but we'll see in the future won't we =)

can you tell us why the game is being delayed? what exactly is the team going to be working on? was the game just not ready or did they decide to make some changes due to the feedback that /6 was getting on the message board?

This is actually a pretty good question I'd be interested in hearing a reply to.
