signed... Hey since they changed this entire site, I'm sure they changed the rules to allow petitions, right?

Not to double post this, but I'd like to offer my reply I gave to a discussion with ascalon as this as a sort of petition charter: "I agree with you on the fact that the majority of the people who come here care about this community and don't want to see it trashed, but the problem is that this new low post count requirement gives that minority an easier opportunity to wreak havoc on it. Knowing and caring about this community is a process that takes time and the reason 128-bit was working so well was because it gave even spammers a period of geting to know other people in the community so that by the time they reached the privlidges they set out for they had grown fond of being here and underestood the respect for fellow members. Now that the barrier has been removed, members don't spend that time adjusting to the community and becoming a part of it, so why do they care if they trash it or not? While the power of reaching 128-bit caused a lot of spam trouble with people trying to reach the milestone, it also helped forge the sense of community we have here. I give you credit for trying to implement a new system and looking for potential solutions to the problems which have sprung up, and realize this may take some time. I, along with others it seems, request that untill you develop these strategies to combat the problems with the system that you either A) revert back to the old 128-bit standard, or B) temporarilly disable all kudos to help protect the community . While your suggestion to combat these kudos violators promotes the efforts of those who do well, The fact is the tools available make it much more easy for those who don't care about our community to trash it than it does for us to protect it. These boards are example enough as within the past several hours while there have been great suggestions for improvement worthy of kudos, they have been tainted by an onslaught of people who wish to kudos everything and anything at a rate which is impossible for reporting to keep up with. Anyways, those are just my thoughts on the issue, and I hope you don't take this as an assualt on your work. I know you all take great pride in the changes you're making, and I anxiously await the completed project; I just feel that in this transition period a few safeguards need to be put in place to protect things. Looking forward to hearing everyone's responses to say the least " anyways, consider this my signing.

What was wrong with the 128-bit rank? I think it was perfect the way it was. No offense to anyone under 128 bit. I just really hate this. Sign me on.
