I got a hard copy, and after all the installing and updating, my game utility data for gt5 is about 5.4 gigs, 5325mb

Went to the PS store and it says you need 1.9gb free space for the PSN download...

Now is the store version really going to be 3 gigs smaller? Which would suck for BD owers of the game...

Or is the PSN GT5 really going to be 5gb like theBD version? Which would suck for people with only a few gb left on thir HDD...

I suppose we'll find out won't we :smileywink:

Yea--I found that rather inguiging when I saw it, too.

I'm not one to complain about the HD installs--I appreciate the effort to get our games moving faster. But I'm rather perplexed about the disc version's install actually taking up more space than the download. That whole difference couldn't be "Beyond the Apex," could it?

That's ok--still got 40gbs+ left.

I don't think it could be the video. Isn't that thing like 10 minutes long? Better be in 10,800p if it's taking up 3gb....

And why would the video have to be installed on the HDD anyways??? if they could stream anything from the disk, I would think a video....

I think there may be some unhappy PSN downloaders if they find out it gonna take up 5gb, or even 7. (2 for the dl, and 5 for the game util. data)

My saved data file is only 71kb.

It's the Game Data file that takes up 5.355 GB.

Can someone who's DOWNLOADED gt5 give the size of their GT5P Game Data file?

Pretty much 'all movie content' are absent from the download version.  Opening, ending, Beyond the Apex, course guides...  HD movies take a lot of space!

They don't have ANY of those movies? Is there an option to DL them later?

Good call on that, though. I just remembered that GT-TV gives you the option of deleting BtA and the opening video. Maybe you could do that with course guides, too.

Side Note: Where are these course guides of which you speak?

Yeah I guess we'll have to wait and see.I still don't see why they have to install the videos if that's the case.

I wonder what other differences there is going to be.

On the PS store description it says: "NOTE: You must log into the Playstation Network each time to play this game"

WOW that's a serious drawback if you ever loose your internet connection.

I deleted the opening movie and it's down to 5055mb.

You cannot delete the behind the scenes movie though :smileysad:

Wonder if that means it's not on the HDD, or we're stuck with a 3gb movie on there, that we'll watch a couple times at most....
