Its absolute B.S. that Rockstar released a game KNOWING it had MAJOR issues... it works for 2/3's of the people who purchased it.

so look at it this way

they sold 9 million copies the first night

thats 3 million people whose games froze and are STILL WAITING FOR A FIX after spending 60+ dollars

if u guys believe that ROCKSTAR didnt know about this then your crazy why do you think they delayed the game since OCT 07 because they knew it was not working correctly and they have had PRE-ORDERS since SUMMER 07 they had to give the people something and it was a GET RICH QUICK PLAN

ROCKSTAR/TAKE2  KNEW THEY WERE SELLING THE COMPANY TO EA so therefore let EA deal with the problem..... and oh yeah back to those 3 million copies that are not working due to system error just do some simple math 60x3 = 180 now add the 6 0's and thats 180,000,000 MILLION DOLLARS OFF FAULTY MERCHANDISE

It's apparently some kind of hardware glitch. Certain batches of PS3 have a faulty chip that causes freezing issues on certain games, most notably GTA IV. There's a knowledge base article about it:
