UPDATE: It didn't take Activision long to respond to Courtney Love's recent "tweetrage" regarding the use of Kurt Cobain's likeness in Guitar Hero 5. As expected, Activision state they had secured the necessary licensing rights. The official statement from Activision reads: "Guitar Hero secured the necessary licensing rights from the Cobain estate in a written agreement signed by Courtney Love to use Kurt Cobain’s likeness as a fully playable character in Guitar Hero 5." So not only do they have a written agreement, but it involves Courtney Love herself... So either a.) she's covering her own back after "selling-out" the Cobain name, b.) had no idea what she was signing, or c.) doesn't remember signing them because... well... you get the idea. Who knows? Either way, can anyone say "frivolous lawsuit?" Update: Wow, can anyone say soap opera? I said this would be quite entertaining. In response to Activision's official statement, Love had this to say: "activision is fulllof **bleep** they have a a contcrct called a deal memo that said upon approvale they could use an avatar i approved." "and i never inteneded to aPPROVE this **bleep**, they are doing a recall you can be sure o fthat. waita ew hours maybe tomorrow press and etc." "activision know this aos very very bad press indeed wait til you see what MY lovely lawyer has cooked up, i never ever signed off on this," she continued, just moments ago on Twitter." Let's hope the contract wasn't drafted up by Love herself, or it could take them months to decipher it. Chances are we'll have more on this tomorrow. Get your popcorn ready for this one.

Courtney Love wants Activision to make a Nirvana Guitar Hero Game so she can rake in more of Kurt's money. The truth is, Courtney Love is a no-talent junkie that used Kurt to achieve fame. She's a horrible excuse for a human being and a horrible excuse for a mother. Anyone that shoots heroin while pregnant should be shot. When Harmonix developed Beatles Rockband, they paid off Lennon's no talent side-kick (Yoko) so this kind of thing wouldn't happen.

i don't think we need a "b" <_< and to YourOffensive, many ppl shouldn't twitter... It's one thing if there is news you're shelling out, like product info to customers of your business... or a polititian releasing some news updates ect... (although even some of them manage to screw it up...) with celebrities it's something different. They spend all day complaining about paparatzi then sign in to twitter and do the job for them <_< I bet it was a "memo deal" meaning they slipped an informal proposal through her mail slot with some "rough figures" she signed, and didn't realize OMG those rough figures... she just SIGNED >_< what an idiot... we did this trick to ppl in care sales all the time. "don't worry, this isn't gonna get you a loan, just approve this number so I can show my boss" well, it's true, it's not gonna get them the loan <_< we still get to rake them over the coals on that one... but it DOES buy them a car...

Are you kidding me?!?!? How come only geniuses end up O.D'ing from heroin? We lost Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison. Why can't we get lucky just once?
