lol sorry seb for not being specific with the question. Anyway the question was you know the opening scene of the 'helghast trailer' with those towers in the sky and people refer to them as ISA platforms, so specifically what do those towers do eg. drops of the intruder ships like a star wars cruiser. And yea KIDS SAY NO TO DRUGS lol.
Those are the Cruisers. They are the fleet that have decended upon the planet Helghan. Thats where the troops are kept. More on that in the game.

Hmm... maybe.

Lol sorry for another question, my mind's been stuck in Killzone 2 mode all day. I even played through all of chapter 5 again What are the vehicle controls? Are there any games out there that you can compare them to? I've also heard that the vehicle controls are a bit hard to use in the demo. What's your take on that? Do people just need to get used to them? Message Edited by Reever on 10-29-2008 10:23 PM
The vehicle controls have always been a bit of a pain and we're still playing with them. Hopefully everyone will be happy with them come release.

Scout only has a sniper rifle, but you can pick up any dropped weapons.

My question is about frames per second, I see it a lot on the net when people compare games, and there was a question on the last page about it. I've been wondering for a while now, how much as developers do you care about frames per second, surely there's a point where the human eye can't distinguish any difference, and anything above that is just for bragging rights?
We set out a long time ago to shoot for 30fps and we aim to stick to that. Framerate drops are very high on our list of priorities.

DRE2001 wrote: So is the scene when the general is looking over the city really real time? I mean if that scene is playabe (shooting and **bleep**) would it look just like that with no detail loss?? I find that impossible to believe.
There is of course some special animations for it, but if we wanted to we could run into the scene, guns blazing. In fact there have been bugs in the game where the player controls were not locked out properly and you could still throw grenades into a cutscene, wreaking havoc with the narrative.
