Rather then ask you questions about the present Killzone 2 I would rather ask you about the history of Killzone 2. Any chance of filling us in the history of Killzone 2, changes, techinal, how it started, pressure to make an AAA title etc.

That would be somewhat beyond the scope of an answer on here, I'm afraid. You're talking about a Making Of movie or a series of articles. That's certainly something we should consider providing, however!
Kudos!

What vehicles are going to be avaliable? Are they gonna be in use for both single and multiplayer? WHat are the trophies going to look like when Killzone 2 has achievements? Is killzone 2 being in conjuction with home?
and finally

Do you feel like you have to prove yourself again since many critics (not including me, I LOVED KILLZONE 1!) such as Lemmings, Sheep, and Hermits thought that Killzone 1 sucked and Killzone 2 will flop like Killzone 1? Do you think thats a valid comparision saying that a sequel will flop if the first one sucked also?

-Thanks ;D

Hey EON, i did a few beta test for some games, and sometimes you get so used with the game that you learn to like the game, so how do you guys keeps things fresh?

You're right - that IS an issue. We deal with it by sharing the game with people who haven't played it yet and noting their feedback. We also do it by having regular play sessions internally with everyone helping test multiplayer, designers playing each others levels etc. It's everyone's job to provide feedback!

One question, in terms of your aim with the final product as far as colour palette is concerned are you aiming for the left image or the right???

Personally I like the more vibrant and alive colour scheme used in the right image, as it enhances the look of the game, so hopefully that is the overall look you guys at GG are working towards with Killzone 2.

These sorts of things aren't set in stone yet. We'll be experimenting with a lot of settings until we arrive at the final values.

Hmm, I'll try not to be too detailed so I can get some answers out-of you guys lol.

1. Is there any considerable graphics improvements in the latest build of the game compared to the E3 build?

2. Has the facial animation been improved? (that was one of my gripes with the E3 video)

3. How much power percentage-wise would you say the game is utilizing the Cell processor? (so-far Uncharted is the best I've heard with 1/3 of the Cell's power being used)

4. How close would-you say the current build of the game is to achieving the target rendering of the E3 2005 trailer?

1. I'm not even going to touch that one. I'll let YOU guys decide for yourselves when you see a new build.

2. There were definite issues with Rico in the trailer weren't there? Again, when we release new material, you should judge for yourself whether the problem has been improved or eliminated!

3. % use is n't really a useful statistic. Using all of the resources isn't the difficult part - using them in the most efficient way, however... There's the trick.

4. I think there are certain things in the 2005 targetmovie that are easy to do in a movie but rather harder to do in a game. In general I'd say that we exceeded it in certain areas and either met or came damn close to meeting the rest of it.
Kudos!

I have heard through various sources that there is alot of information sharing between gaming companies. Specifically: Guerilla, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and Sucker Punch.  What level is the cooperation from the other companies? Is everything an open book or are there still some closely guarded secrets? Are there any other companies that Guerilla regularly communicate with such as Media Molecule or Incognito or any third party developers like Konami or Square-Enix?

Well, I can't really spill the beans on this without talking about specifics, I'm afraid. Suffice it to say that there is a definite spirit of cooperation between studios within the Sony family. We help each other out to achieve our goals and to get the very best out of the PS3's architecture.

Hey Eon :smileyhappy: What do you think of Resistance 2? I don't want you to compare it to killzone but are you excited for it at all?

It sounds like an awesome game and as a hardcore gamer myself, I can't WAIT to try it out! I'm more about Single Player than multiplayer myself, but Resistance 2 certainly does sound tempting, doesn't it?

Are you planning a substantial amount of integration between Home and Killzone 2?  I mean, trophy type stuff has already been confirmed, but will there be more than that?

We have plans - but are not ready to share them as yet. Sorry to leave you hanging like that, but I can't provide anymore detail than that. We're excited about the potential that Home unlocks though, and eager to be a part of it.

Hey EON, little question. In the past GG has worked with SCEA(Kyle Shubel and Barbara House). Is GG still working closely with SCEA? I'd assume you are closer with SCEE.

I could give you a long spiel about Corporate strategy and our position within the Sony Family, but it's easiest to say that we are lucky enough to work with both SCEE and SCEA closely. We have cordial relations with SCEJ too.

Kudos!
