No. Neither Guerrilla Games, nor Killzone is affected by the cuts at SCEE.

I know there's speculation going on that this is because Sony is in trouble and is having to cut back on staff at SCEE. Do you know if this is just the normal cause of the ramp up of employees prior to the launch of a console and that they simply aren't needed anymore, or are these employees actually part of the development staff at SCEE and that Sony may be having to trim the fat?

I will try to go to a festival this year, yes, but it will have to be post-E3. Too much going on here  .
