Newbie: pitching in MLB 08 The Show, PSP

Hi,

I've only recently purchased the 08 game for the PSP, and cant figure out how the pitching mechanics work...and there doesn't seem to be anything in the manual which explains it. Any help would be much appreciated, cos at the moment I'm getting walked all the time.

Why would you buy 08 when 09 just came out?That doesnt make much sense.And considering the fact that most people now play 09 I doubt anyone will be able to help you.I dont have a PSP,sorry.
