WOW.....what a friggin psycho im sorry guys. I respect all kinds of music and stuff but church burnings and him talking about Satan like hes his buddy is just to messed up for me. I just dont understand the logic behind some black metal bands thats all. If he was just playing around for the documentary then OK thats pretty funny lol but if he wasnt then I dont want anything to do with black metal. Sorry.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I watched a documentary on Black Metal in Psych class, and some of the stuff blew me away. Church burnings, on stage suicides... that's just nuts. Not for me...

I'm pretty sure that's what I was thinking of. A buddy of mine told me they later used that image as an album cover. Is that true, or was it another band?

HMM...I'm digging on some Immortal. Good sound quality as most I have listened to doesn't really have that great of sound. Guess its the style of music it kinda fits it.

thinking about getting Sons of Northern Gods. update: I bought Dimmu Borgir - Stormblast. About the only black metal disc they had a Best Buy. Not bad. Came out in 95.

Yeah, that was Mayhem on the "Dawn of the Black Hearts" bootleg.
As of right now the only thing close to an "on stage suicide" was G.G. Allin saying he was gonna do it, but I think the police stopped him from performing.
When Media Play was still open, they sold a decent amount of Black Metal CD's... If I am going to buy a CD, I'll try to find it at my local The Exchange or go online... Perhaps even see if I can get the vinyl version; which I did for one of Setherial's albums, and its nice. Its even better if you can find a nice folk infused black metal record (something like Drudkh), it makes it sound better, in my opinion.
