I called EA CS to complain about cheating and they told me "NFSU has no protection against cheatinga at all". **bleep**ing pretty lame ass online mode anyway. EA deserved to be sued for this dirty work they did on NFSU. They pretty much **bleep**ed up with a great offline game giving it the worst online mode i've ever seen on PS2...

Or they could be, you know, racing PCers, which don't have any cheating lockouts.

Didn't you read my last post?????

Anyway, DNAS is not to stop cheating is to stop piracy. It checks for modchips and backup discs. The anti-cheating technology is up to the game developer to add or not in the games itself. You can pass DNAS on SOCOM II with GS on, but you can try to log online. THEN you banned. Anti-Cheating has nothing to do with DNAS.

Anyway, explain me this as bad driving:

I was racing against 3 other guys and just after we started, they disapeared tottaly, right in front of me. I race the whole race in 1st and even the timer showed the as + timming (showing they're behind). I finish the race and as soon as I cross the finish line the pop up from thin air in front of me!! I still showing at 1st place on the scoreboard to the right. Then when we go to the "greeting the winner " screen I showed as 4th and they as 1st, 2nd and 3rd... If that's not cheating, I don't know what it is...

EA itself said that game has no Cheating protection at all.

So think before you say we need better driving skills...:smileywink:

I found this on Playstation.com: "'DNAS' retrieves information about a user’s hardware and software for authentication, copy protection, account blocking, system, rules, or game management and other purposes." So you are right that it helps to check for piracy, but it does also help prevent cheating. Otherwise, why would it only do the DNAS check when you go online?

Know of what you're saying before you say it.

Sony's DNAS on the PS2 seems to have solved the cheating problem on SOCOM II and the new EA Sports games.  I think the cheaters all ALL playing the PC version of NFS-U.  It was a big mistake on EA's part not to keep the PC online and PS2 online totally separate.  What were they thinking?

To me i thought it would be  a good idea facing people on the Pc but i guess it got a little out of hand.
