Trend Micro Web Security for PS3™ can block websites that transmit malicious software, or that support online fraud.
How do I start using the service?
First make sure that you have at least version 2.70 of the PS3™ system software. You can then access these services directly from the PS3™ settings.
1. Launch the PS3™ Internet browser, and press the △ button to open the menu.
2. Choose Browser Security, and then select Trend Micro™ for PS3™.
3. Either select a free trial or purchase the service. If you make a purchase, the service will be enabled automatically.
How do I enable or disable the free trial service?
You can easily enable or disable the free trial service:
1. Launch the PS3™ Internet browser, and press the △ button to open the menu.
2. Choose Browser Security, and then select Trend Micro™ for PS3™.
3. Select the Manage Trial button, and then enable or disable the service.
How do I enable or disable the paid service?
You can easily enable or disable the paid service:
1. Launch the PS3™ Internet browser, and press the △ button to open the menu.
2. Choose Browser Security, and then select Trend Micro™ for PS3™.
3. Select the Sign In button, and sign into your Trend Micro Account. From there, you can enable or disable the service.
Can I stop using the service without accessing the Trend Micro Web Site?
You can stop using this service directly from your PS3™.
1. Launch the PS3™ Internet browser, and press the △ button to open the menu.
2. Choose Tools, Discontinue Browser Security, and then select Trend Micro™ for PS3™ .
You must enter your PS3™ password to change this setting. For more information about the PS3™ passwords, please refer to the Users' Guide.
Does a free trial offer everything included in the paid service?
Both the trial and paid versions will block the same unsafe websites. However, the free trial only lasts for a limited time. Plus, you can only manage your protection with a Trend Micro Account created after making a purchase.
How long does a free trial last?
A free trial lasts for 90 days.
Should I create a Trend Micro Account after purchasing the service?
Please do. Setting up an account allows you to manage the service, so that you can enable or disable it, change the name of your PS3™ computer entertainment system name, etc.
What kind of information must I share to set up a Trend Micro Account?
You will need to provide your name, a valid email address, a password, and your current location to set up the account.
Can this service protect me when I use the Internet from a personal computer?
This service can only protect you when using the PS3™ Internet browser. Please visithttp://www.trendmicro.com to get award-winning protection for your PC.
If I forget which email address I used, what should I do?
Use your PS3™ to stop the service. Next, open the Trend Micro website from your PS3™ again, and select Show email address. Your email address will then appear on the page.
Should I do anything special before loaning out my PS3™, returning it to the store, or sending it back for service?
Always make sure to clear your personal information off the PS3™ before handing it over to someone else. To do that, select Settings on your PS3™, then choose System Settings, and finallyRestore PS3™ System.

What can I do if my PS3™ breaks after I have paid for the service?
Once your PS3™ has been fixed, please sign into your Trend Micro Account and use the Replace Protection feature to enable the service again.
