Jesus people, for months and years u complained that the price was too high @ $599, $499 and $399, while launch owners like myself paid $600.  You complained about the lack of games, within time sony delivered.  You complained how Sony is trailing far in 3rd place and that they are in trouble unless their is a price cut.  Sony does exactly that, they keep the features that are apparent in 40GB and non b/c 80 models and design a new system called the slim. 

People wanted a slim for some time, now sony delivers.  Yet people still complain.  What do u expect? No matter what Sony does, people will always complain.  If u are that unhappy, just shut up and go buy the other systems or retire from gaming.  Since when were video game consoles suppose to be super sexy?  Ok so the slim is not at pretty as the fat ps3, so what?  You wanted a price drop, u got it.  You should be happy that the $299 price point will put sony back in the game.  Last time i checked, the other systems were not "pretty" by any means, and looked like last generation designs. 

Point is, no matter what Sony does people will still complain. Instead of complaining, u should be thankful that the competition just got more competetive at these price points.  A $299 PS3 is a way better value than any other system out right now, even if its $50 more.  When its all said and done, u will understand how the PS3 slim saved Sony's butt, and the reason why you are still able to continue to look forward for years of gaming to come.
