I've been reading around but still haven't been able to put a clear answer together, but that could be due to my lack of concentration.  I have an older 80GB PS3, and a newer 120GB PS3 Slim. The HDD in my older PS3 is full and has important saves that I am unable to copy such as Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and more.  I forget the exact wording but it has something to do with some type of protection/security from the PS3(obviously). My newer PS3 Slim also has game saves with the same situation such as Need for Speed:Shift, Call of Duty:World at War, and maybe one or two more.

How can I combine game save data from 2 different PS3's to a single PS3 formatted HDD? I want to put an upgraded HDD in my PS3 slim anyway so I wanted to find out how I can just copy everything from my older PS3 onto a larger, upgraded, PS3 compatible HDD, and then do the same with my save data on my newer PS3 slim so that the end result is a larger, upgraded, PS3 formatted HDD with game save data combine from two separate PS3 systems.

If I try and back up both systems and restore them one after another one a single HDD they make me choose which back up data I would like to use which deletes any existing back up data I restored previously, which is the back up data I am trying to combine.

Thank you for any of you who went out of their way to spend the time to learn about my situation and help me solve this small dilemma I have gotten myself into.

Sorry but you should have transfered everything to the system you plan to use then started your new game. If you can't backup your save without backing up the entire system your screwed. Even then it might not recognise a different system even if you have the same name. So it is probably best to choose what games you want to play again.
Kudos!
