Its true more and more reported incidents are poping up and now it finaly happend to me *BLEEP* im so angry...
The Blu ray was MIission Impossible 2 (only one so far) Mission Impossible 1 ran fine just a few dies prior, and the movie froze 3 times for about 7 to 10 seconds each timed but resumed pllay seamlessly ... unlike a DVD player would..
I hope this isnt a cause of overheating and its just that new damn firmware upgrade..
Did anyone experience this before 1.5? or is this just happening now??
Others post if this has happend to you..
Im sure there are other threads but i wanted to make a new one.. I felt i deserve it.. cause i thought i was gona be one of the lucky ones that this wasnt gona happen to...

Are you on a wireless network? If so, go into your Playstation settings and turn off connectivity. The lead suspect in this is the Playstation attempting to connect while you're playing a disc. Not sure if it's related to the 1.50 patch, but that's probably the case. Sure would be nice if Sony would fess up if they made a mistake. And yes - it happened to me too. Movie just stopped, and my controller wouldn't get it to go. Had to wait until the unit got through doing whatever it was doing. Happened three times in about 10 minutes.

It seems apparent that the problem occurs when the unit attempts to communicate with the router - most people seeing the issue are using wireless, so it doesn't surprise me that someone with a cable connection would perhaps be less likely to see it. Still there are users who get the freezes even with wired connectivity. Best solution for now seems to be to turn off network connectivity in the PS3 until Sony gets their act together. This IS a problem. It DID start becoming a major issue after the 1.50 patch. I never saw a freeze-up before the patch was applied, and I've seen it multiple times since.

I haven't got a chance to watch a single Blu-Ray movie yet. I received Crash in the mail, and previewed it real quick. I will let you know tomorrow. Actually I am going to do some testing. I will watch it on my wired connection, then on my wireless. I will post results to confirm if wireless is the issue.
