I've read through this section carefully, prior to installation of the Ver.2.0 update; and it seems to be a commonality that the 60G units are having the problems. I had a 60G unit until I decided to take out the drive, and install a 100G harddrive. I wonder, if anyone had performed a disc space remaining check? I realize also too, that in PC's that if you have applications running (like av software, games, movies, etc.) while downloading and installing this latest release, somehow it corrupted itself? Or, barring that, having your PS3 on a carpeted area, inside a glass fronted cabinet with the rest of your AV gear heat causes a slight abberation such as a minor power cycle glitch? It does state during the update process to NOT turn off your PS3, because if you do so, it could possibly "brick" it. Even if not turning off, and while hooked up to the PSN, I realize the download is supposed to happen seamlessly in the background. Just a few thoughts.
(BTW, I'll be loading this firmware update in 10 minutes or so, and if something happens, then I'll dig up a bottle of A1, salt, a bottle of Merlot and cheese and report back that my PS3 and words were mighty tasty...salut!)

Since the update I too have experienced difficulties. I've had a couple of random freezes while navigating the XMB. On several occasions my console froze and needed to be rebooted when I first go to boot up Lego Star Wars with a Logitech Chill Stream controller plugged in. Who knows what it is ? Once I'm into the games, everything is fine. Everything still works, but these strange freezes do seem rather inconvienient for me. Perhaps there will be a 2.01 Oh yeah, I have a 60GB Emotion PS3.

Ive got (2) 40 gig units just purchased last week (of course) and after 2.0 my video streaming from my pc stops half way through. I havent noticed any other probs though. I hope this get fixed!!
