or.. not really.. i just got bored and repainted my PS3 flat gunmetal grey. I think i did a pretty decent job. :smileywink:

Wow, that is pretty nice.  Good job on the painting. That must have taken you awhile to complete.  Nice job though.

the letters are just plastic chrome stickers. i removed em carefully with a hobby knife.

really nice job except you didnt do the eject/power section and did u do all the filters and by the usbs and all that as well, looks great though im digging it.

yeah i didn' do the blu-ray drive area.. i just wanted to see how it would look with that area black.. i can still go back and paint it later. and yeah..all the panels are painted. i disassembled the entire PS3 and painted the top, bottom and side panels individually.

I think you'll have to tape off the buttons on the tray if you paint it as they work off an electrical connection over your fingers, so just something to keep in mind. It'll be a little hard to tape them off though, the tape will have to be cut very thin.

actually.. the touch buttons just pop right out of that little board area. it's shaped to fit exactly in the cutout.. and it's made of metal and touches small metal prongs underneath it. So yeah.. just pop it out.. and paint the piece.. and pop in the touch buttons again.
