So I'm guessing Sony did take it down??

 

I tried the manually updating and it says I have the latest firmware/there is no new firmware....   If you would have read my original post you would know...

This was actually the first update it DID show up right away.  All the other ones I had to download manually and install.  Which is a viable option (and may help some of these people that the update didn't go well).  So I'd suggest going to the v2.40 update thread and downloading the update there (make sure you get the right one) and update it that way.

The vast majority of people have no problems with updates, but every update there seems to be a few that have problems. There is nothing wrong with 2.40.
