Who in blue blazes is responsible for keeping us update with......ummmmm I don't know, THE UPDATE!
I'm saying, I put money in PSN quite enough times as many in these boards and outside who use the PSN, so having a free network is no longer an excuse to use when people like me speak up, I'm 23, and I know the responsibility of letting people know things ahead of time, but the way you guys operate, is like telling someone to get to the starting line of a race they should be in after the race just ended. We need a proper way to keep the PSN users updated and whatever system it is, PUT IT ON OUR "What's New" SECTION, so that users may at least have some sort of warning, even if you put a loud crow noise to warn those you are even sleeping with the PS3 on just to let them know, "HEY, SHUTTIN DOWN SON!"

let's get this right this time Sony. I BEG YOU!

Maintenance, Update, whatever. Just warn us first.

Well im begining to think that they do this at this time just so they dont have to answer the phones lol, but seriously it would be nice to get an advanced warning if nothing else run it in the ticker in the top left corner.

Yea I put a lot of money in to the psn too , and in to games and in to blu rays. Lol. **bleep** I buy so much and this **bleep** pisses me off so much. ahhhh

There are always problems when it comes to managing a network.  The PSN is probably down due to updates or such, who knows...any network admin would understand this.

Well someone should at least hop in here and post something in regards to the PSN and as to why it's down, especially for users who've spent hundreds of dollars on the PSN network.

You act as though they even read these boards. Lithium controls these boards, Sony could care less what any of us have to say about most games (Socom Confrontation), minus the beta boards.

 

Although I agree a warning of this kind of update would have been courteous to us, the COMMUNITY of the Playstation Forums. I mean after all we are the voices of the Playstation/Sony brand online. Who else is going to be as passionate as we are to even consider coming on here to figure out what the heck the problem is?

 

I think that this community needs to be held at a higher standard, than any other about gaming. Being such, I also believe that they should at least give us the decency to for-warn us of these kinds of updates.

 

If they can't inform their most loyal consumers. Consumers who have created an entire community based on what they are trying to sell us. There is some serious communication issues that need to be addressed.

It only makes sense to have downtime in a span of time where the very least amount of people would be on the PSN, which would be the graveyard times, 1200am Pacific time whic goes across to 4am Atlantic time. I do not worrie about this, or get pissed because I would rather have it happen during the fraveyard, rather then afternoon, or evening where its the peek time. The reason they would not need to tell us, is because they are expecting us to be sleeping so they dont worrie much.

And if the down time, or whatever, isn't planned (networks do have problems from time to time), they're supposed to warn you - how? (rhetorical).

 

What makes you think you deserve any type of advance warning anyway? Becasue you "put money in PSN quite enough times as many in these boards" ... you purchased something (downloads, rentals, etc) and got what you purchased - so you think that entitles you to, what, additional service?

 

Or did you purchase "ADVANCE WARNING/NOTICE NOTIFICATION"?  ..... no? You didn't?

 

You got what you paid for, you don't deserve more just because you think so.

 

If you sold your PS3 toa friend today ... would he deserve your nitifyong him of firmware updates for as long as he owns it? .... No? .... Why not?

 

You all should stop your sniveling and get a life.
