Actually it's the lack of patience that needs to be adressed. Things happen and there are times when they do that it can't be explained immediately to everyone's liking.

There are plenty of free mmo games out there and ones I've played always have advanced warning to maintenance/updates. Why should Sony be so special that they don't have to give such info to its customers? Are not the customers most always right? According to the customer service reps for companies Ive worked for they are! If a customer requests it should it not be considered? I always seem to be at work when this stuff happens so I dont even know what information is given when you try to login to psn during maintenance but I will support fellow players/customers because in the end it benifits me as well I hope.

Perhaps people who complain about an online gaming network being down for any reason should stop using that network. Clearly you are placing too much importance on its being available or not, and your priorities are off. You're willing to actually say that not being able to connect to gaming online is a matter of concern for you. Because it actually is a matter of concern to you? What are you losing out on? What are the implications of it? Nothing, and none. In a nutshell....... cry less

I hate to break it to you but when you spend money on the pSN say the video store that money is broken up into tiny little pieces. A big chunk for royalties for actors/directors/investors/royalties, another big chunk goes to the cost of maintaining thousands upon thousands of active servers, paying ISPs for unlimited amounts of bandwidth...Sony isn't just pocketing your money and laughing to the Bank like M$ does with the annual LIVE fee. In regards to Sony giving you a heads up, they don't have to do that for their customers. They have to do that for their investors. So if you are a shareholder and goto a SCEA shareholder meeting then yes you can ask when they will release things because you are directly paying for the company procedures. As a consumer you can be left in the dark right up until the last minute. This is so they can control their market share and regulate when their stock will rise and fall. THis is BIG business. Trust me they are not watching over this board looking for investor ideas lol.

We need a proper way to keep the PSN users updated and whatever system it is, PUT IT ON OUR "What's New" SECTION, so that users may at least have some sort of warning, even if you put a loud crow noise to warn those you are even sleeping with the PS3 on just to let them know, "HEY, SHUTTIN DOWN SON!"

Blue Blazes is exactly 50 Miles away from any grandparents house and apparantly can only be accesed by walking the entire distance usually in Chest High snow.
