Well i have a HDMI cable set up to my tv and ps3 but the problem is that i want to record gameplay and stuff like that, but i need the red yellow and white cables (usually) but i dont want to go back to that no so good quality.

Is there a way to record in high quality while having my HDMI cable still set up?

I was thinking that since the PS3 has a HDMI and also regular cable outputs/inputs, would it be possible to hook up both HDMI and red white and yellow cable to my tv and just play on my HDMI setting but hook up a capture card to the red white and yellow?
