Many people have been facing this problem when they try to setup wireless connection. Their ps3 cant stay connected to internet. It gets disconect after 10-15sec continously. Some people makes this even harder upon themselves including myself when i first tried to setup my ps3. Here is the solution that worked for many people and hopefully will work for you as well. I did this and since then m ps3 works great online and works nonstop. Go to your wireless router setting and DO NOT BROADCAST YOUR SSID Once you do that your ps3 shall work flawless. If you have a laptop at home which you use, it may not be able to go online if SSID is not broadcasted. What you can do is once your ps3 works fine, you can go back to ur wireless setting and broadcast ssid for a while so your laptop can catch the network, once it has done it, you can go bck and again Disabled the SSID broadcast. Dont confuse laptop info with ps3, if u dont use a laptop then just disregard the other info SO all you gotta do is DO NOT BROADCAST SSID to make your ps3 work online without getting disconnected. Hope this helps

It's frustrating, however my brother has his wireless working and says he gets disconnects all the time in the middle of games, so I'm sticking with wired for now.
Tell him to manually input the ip, gateway, dns, and all that. having the upnp enabled will allow the system to mess with the router. that's what I do. I gave my ps3 a fixed IP from the DHCP range which means it can use the port forwarding and not interfere with my laptop or any other computer using the router.

When you say put in the IP, which IP are you talking about? The one that you can access your router with (i.e. 192.68.1.1)? Or are you talking about the IP address you are issued by your ISP when you go online?

I dont know much about linsays router cuz i use netgear but to go to your wireless setting your setup should have an address like 192.168.0.1 <~~That is for netgear) Go to your address of setting and once u r loged on, try to disable ssid and also include ps3 mac address in the mac address list of devices you wish to access your router.
