QOS (Boost your PS3's priority on your network)

I just found this setting on my linksys router (WRT-300N); you can set your internet access priority.  What I'm saying is that you can devote your entire network's bandwidth to your PS3 when your PS3 is turned on.  Only drawback to doing this is that any other computer on your network will get bumped off your network (as long as you have your PS3 on).  I was playing with the feature (I set the PS3 to high priority) and when I logged onto my PS3 with my PSP, my wife lost her internet connection on her laptop.

This setting would be very useful to those that want to make sure that they have enough bandwidth to game online with and also to make the system download faster.

Kudo if you think this is useful.

You have to access your router.  Type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 into your web browser and enter your username and password for your router.  Username is default Admin and password is Admin too unless you changed it.  Then go to the wireless tab and select Qos and add your PS3 and set it's priority level.  You'll also have to input the PS3 ports, I placed 80 - 81 TCP, 443 - 444 TCP, 5223 - 5224 TCP (it only allows you to list three ports).  Hope this helps.

Thanks guy, send the kudo request to the moderator, not sure if you can just say Kudo in a message to give one (try that first).  I wish more people would read my post, it would help a lot of them with their slow download speeds.

Cool, didn't know that since mine is Linksys.  I'll add that to my original post.
