This thread has been created to contain all discussion of current and/or future Firmware updates for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) system. Please keep all discussion of such updates within this thread. Duplicate threads are subject to lock or deletion.

The PSP® system software version 3.30 update includes the following:
Game
- Support for PLAYSTATION®Network titles has been expanded.
Network
Video
- Support for thumbnail images of videos that are stored in the "VIDEO" folder of Memory Stick Duo™ media has been added.
- The following types of files can now be played in the "VIDEO" folder.
– MPEG-4/H.264 AVC Main Profile (AVC CABAC) video files of the following sizes: 720 X 480, 352 X 480, or 480 X 272 * Depending on the data type, some files cannot be played. (*As of March 28, 2007, this method is only available for updates up to version 3.11)

The PSP® system software version 3.40 update includes the following:
New for 3.40: Support for PLAYSTATION®Network titles has been expanded.
New for 3.40: Saved data from PlayStation® format software can now be used on both PSP® and PS3™ systems.
New for 3.40: [Certificate Utility] was deleted. Information that was displayed in [Certificate Utility] can be checked by the following method. Select the icon of the game you want to display information for, press the button, and then select [Information] from the options menu.

I hope this doesnt get as flooded as the last one. But Anyway...Do you think there would be more added than just Game extensions and Security patches besides that Thumbnail for Videos?

I'm sorta hoping that he will. Remember the "requirement" for the KZ beta that Sony tried to trick us on? I'm hoping that 3.30oe-a is developed so people don't think that they can't sign up for it. That beta sign up really got people worried about updating and everything but it turned out you only needed 2.80 and above to participate.
