You need to call sony, good luck though. It is a fun process XD With a 1-2 day waiting period.

who the hell posted this to consumerist?

Account Management -> Activate/Deactivate System -> Deactivate Game part.

Should do the trick.

You will need one of the five activated PSP systems and connect it to your PS3 and deactivate it to clear up an activation.

Unfortunately I have the same problem. All 5 PSP slots taken, forgot to deactivate it :/ I found one my buyer and it helps me deactivate, but it's still one slot (right now I need two). After deactivate last my PSP, I can't still activate my PSP Go, error shows 80109D80 thru directly XMB PSP, and 80029780 thru PS3. Maybe anyone find a solution to deactivate remotely old PSPs and what is exactly these errors?

I myself have not had any problems with this however I really do think Sony should take a page from Apple and let people release all activated systems at least once a year.

I had a similar problem in iTunes this year when i decided to reload my desktop and my wifes pc to windows 7 and forgot to deauthorize both computers and apparently i forgot 3 other times and was locked out of my iTunes for a month.  Thankfully it wasnt too bad once August hit and i was able to release all authorized computers.

That aside hopefully once Sony really starts hammering out issues with PSN they can implement something simliar to ease many peoples issues with this.

Kudos!
