Haha... Edited by a mod... Anyways... Explain in detail how it's stupid again? If you make 750whp (Which translates to ~830 at the flywheel) on the stock block, rods, pistons, and crankshaft, you will end up with the worlds fastest oilspill. A $5,000 turbo kit doesn't include the parts to keep the engine alive at high power. As for the YouTube videos, who cares? I didn't even watch them and I already know exactly what you're trying (and failing) to say. You have NO IDEA what the circumstances behind the race were, so you cannot say anything about one car defeating another. In the game of no-rules racing, the guy with the most money wins. There is no exception. I personally would love to see it, as he's done something different. He didn't follow the all-too-popular trend of putting a $5,000 turbo kit on it and hoping for the best. If I hear a V8 and turn around to see a Nissan, I'll laugh, and then ask the guy to pop the hood!

Put a corner at the end of the track and NEITHER car will make the corner. They are both purpose built DRAG cars that go straight ONLY. They probably have teeny tiny brakes on them and they are designed to go one way....Forward and fast. You sir, you fail in your attempt at making the camaro look bad.

to be fair if you put a v8 in a 300zx you might as well buy a camaro its already got one in it and you can pay the same for a camaro if not less. i dunno. i prefer the turbo'ed 4 cylinders to be honest. i mean i find it amazing that my 2.0 litre eclipse makes 550hp. i mean thats quite something in my eyes. thats like a 5.6 litre v8 making around 1600 hp. i mean im not even on full boost i mean i could bore the motor out to 2.4litre and make 650hp and then it would cope with a bigger turbo. i mean at the moment its an 11 quater mile but if i spent about $5000 more on it i could have it maybe below 10's down the quater. its AWD so the traction is amazing... i just find it fascinating how i can run that much whp out of a 4cyl.... thats why i prefer them to a v8 coz i dont need that much size i just loose body weight because i can fit my engine in a little car. well my eclipse. i mean at the moment im not doing it justice but if i went for racing alone i could make it go alot faster. im running 550hp and i passed my inspection nicely and its completely road legal with running a/c and its relativly reliable and i piss all over corvettes and even lambos and **bleep**. i mean to be honest my car has $25000 mods on it but that is the interest on a lambo. i payed $7500 for the car with the mods already done and i could never be happier
If you're only pulling 11's in an AWD Eclipse with 550hp, you need to learn how to drive. A Corvette Z06, which weighs more and doesn't have AWD, has run 10's with 500 crank hp. There's been cam-only LS1 F-bodies making around 450rwhp running low 11's-high 10's. Go with a H/C/I LS1 f-body, and you're going to see 10's easily, with 500+rwhp. No FI, or N2O. I find that to be more amazing that making power with a turbo or supercharger. Any car can make power with nitrous or forced induction. It takes a real car to make it without.Message Edited by TSPENCE45 on 03-13-2008 10:30 PM

Yeah but the vette probably has a better Transmission and Shift ratio if the Eclipse hasnt had any of its ratios or parts modifyed to accomidate the power, having to go through 3 shifts to get to 60 eats up valuable time. but yeah if the driver fails at pulling a decent 60' time and bad reaction time then practice is needed.

Not only that, but what's the the point of a race? First there's, how much power/torque, then the weight, how much experience does each driver have? What mods are there......? Congrats to the tapeworm for proving a point?
