http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b8jb-W3Kyw&NR=1  video of phil and mike :smileyvery-happy: go phil!  tell that sore loser to sit the **bleep** down

"You mean the eight minutes he took over there to explain maybe one play that he probably didn't run? Yeah, I was pretty upset," D'Antoni said. "I thought he disrespected our players. But he likes to play mind games, and that's fine. He might want to try to do it in playoff time when we bust them every year. We have them three more times. . . . That's fine."

Said Jackson: "I think he thought I was trying to showboat. When you have a mandatory timeout coming in a minute and a half or something like that, just get them out of the way so we don't have to endure those four-minute timeouts on ESPN."

Jackson: Suns short on time

Lakers coach says Suns must win soon

The Suns' window of opportunity to win a championship is a delicate topic in their circle. They either don't agree with the notion that time is running out with 33-year-old point guard Steve Nash or won't acknowledge it.

But the man who recently questioned Lakers guard Kobe Bryant's effort does not tread so lightly.

"They (the Suns) have got a window that's closing really fast," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said before Friday night's game. "If they don't get a championship, they've missed an opportunity."

Suns coach Mike D'Antoni is just happy that his team has a window.

"We don't have a window closing," D'Antoni said. "What's fast? Four years? Four or five years? Steve is going to play for four, five more years."

Jackson said his mention of a closing window referred to the Suns' style and how Nash can be worn out because of it.

"He's the engine that could," Jackson said of Nash. "He does a terrific job of being able to play, and it's apparent in his condition and endurance."

Dantoni needs to shut up.  Why does he care about first round victories anyway?  Especially when the Suns never even made it to the finals after beating the Lakers.  Phil has 9 rings, Dantoni has never been to the finals.  Dantoni should keep quiet.

nice..... only prob is that D'Antoni is right.  He's spanked the lakers when it matters so Phil is the one that should shut up although phil is right too.  You can't run a 33 year old PG around 24/7 and expect him to be fresh in his later years.

Phil just needs to jump back in his time machine to where he had two great players on his team that can carry him to the promiseland while he gets recognized as the greatest coach ever.  Funny how things change when you no longer have those great players on your team.  Maybe he can quit this year and then sign with Cleveland and then have the Cavs trade for Tim Duncan and then he can kick back collecting titles while sitting on his azz thinking he's the greatest person on the planet.
